TEEN GET TOGETHER
An opportunity for our members aged 13 to 18 to connect, explore and have fun!
A space for teens, designed by teens!
The Teen Get Together is Dragonfly Pond's program designed specifically to engage youth with complex care needs and/or disabilities between the ages of 13 and 18. Being a teen is hard- and having opportunities to meet and have fun with other people your age, who might have similar experiences, can make it easier!
The Teen Get Together is hosted once a month during the school year (September to June), and is an event involving games or fun opportunities, specifically selected by our teen members during inaugural brainstorming sessions and continuous feedback.
During these events, parents are offered the opportunity to meet and discuss their shared experiences of raising teens with complex care needs. This allows for parents to feel further connected in our community, and learn about resources and opportunities.
At a Teen Get Together you can expect:
An activity such as bowling, parkour, Virtual Reality, Mini Golf, Tubing, a trip to the Movie Theatre, and more! Always with accessible options and supports avalible.
